Title:The connection between healthy lifestyle and a child's concentration in class
Abstract:The master's thesis examines children's focus during lessons in relation to a healthy lifestyle and their impact on the educational process. Based on a review of professional literature and research, the thesis defines key concepts such as a healthy lifestyle, health, factors influencing holistic development and the formation of lifestyle habits, fundamental developmental areas, attention, curriculum content, concentration, teaching, and its role in academic success, learning, education, and the roles of the participants in the educational process. An analysis of existing research on healthy lifestyles reveals that challenges related to educational difficulties affecting children's concentration in school arise within the educational environment. This led to the formulation of the research question: Does a healthy lifestyle influence pupils’ concentration in class? The goal of this research is to assess the quality of children's lifestyles today and examine whether it is connected to their ability to concentrate during lessons. The theoretical part of the thesis seeks to define these connections, while the empirical part presents research conducted through a survey questionnaire. The conclusions indicate a correlation between a healthy lifestyle and pupils’ concentration in class.
