Abstract:Zdravstvene organizacije hranijo ogromno občutljivih podatkov v virtualnih okoljih in okoljih v oblaku.

Title:Preventing malware infections in the neurosurgery ward
Abstract:Healthcare organisations store a huge amount of sensitive data in virtual and cloud environments. As a result, targeted attacks on healthcare data have become more frequent in recent years. Protecting health data in the healthcare industry is very important. All data is now recorded in digital form, for example patient records stored in computers, servers and storage devices. Compared to other companies, one of the key reasons for data protection in healthcare is that healthcare companies collect and store very detailed information about patients, including their names, dates of birth, addresses and social security numbers. Protecting this information is therefore very important. The empirical part of the thesis is based on the analysis of a questionnaire survey with 39 respondents. We wanted to check the awareness, experiences and behaviours of employees at the Clinical Department of Neurosurgery (UKCL) in relation to malware, as well as the measures in place to prevent infections and protect data. Given the increasing digitisation and number of information security incidents, it is crucial to understand how healthcare professionals perceive and respond to such threats. The data shows that most employees are aware of basic security response procedures, which is a positive sign. However, the presence of a minority who do not have an adequate response means that the whole organisation remains vulnerable. In cyber security, the principle is that a system's security is only as strong as its weakest link - in this case, one person's misjudgement can put the whole system at risk. The employees themselves expressed a strong interest in gaining additional knowledge in this area. We believe that it would be useful to organise training courses and workshops for employees, as this would help them to gain more knowledge in this area. This would make the working environment in healthcare organisations safer.
