Abstract:Diplomsko delo, z naslovom »Razvoj tehniške ustvarjalnosti otrok skozi izdelavo praktičnih izdelkov iz tekstila v vrtcu«, sestavlja teoretični, empirični in praktični del. V teoretičnem delu so predstavljene razvojne značilnosti otrok, didaktična izhodišča tehniške vzgoje in tehnično-tehnološke vsebine. Praktični del vključuje izvedbo petih tehniških dejavnosti z ocenjevanjem otrokovega dela in s samovrednotenjem.

Title:The development of children's technical creativity by making practical textile products in kindergarten
Abstract:The graduation thesis titled "The Development of Children's Technical Creativity by Making Practical Textile Products in Kindergarten" consists of the theoretical, empirical and practical part. The theoretical part presents the developmental characteristics of children, didactic foundations of technology education, and technical-technological content. The empirical part uses a mixed-method (quantitative and qualitative) research approach using a questionnaire for children. The sample included 20 children aged 4–5 from the Rogoza – Sonček Kindergarten. The results showed limited knowledge about textile materials and tools but a high level of interest in creative activities. The practical part includes the performance of five technological activities with evaluation of the children’s work and self-assessment. Differences were observed in engagement, independence, skills, safety behaviour, and perceived difficulty, regardless of prior knowledge or gender. For most children, the activities encouraged curiosity, creativity, and a sense of pride. The findings contribute to a better understanding of children's prior knowledge and interests and highlight the importance of diverse, safe, and developmentally appropriate challenges. At the same time, concrete guidelines for technological activities in kindergarten are offered to educators.
