Abstract:V diplomskem delu so bili analizirani preventivni programi za preprečevanje nasilja in medvrstniškega nasilja v svetovnem merilu in v Sloveniji. Cilji raziskave so bili proučiti učinkovitost preventivnih programov proti nasilju, primerjati obstoječe evalvacije in določiti, kako se programi implementirajo v slovenskem šolskem prostoru. Pomen diplomskega dela se kaže v prispevanju boljše obravnave problematike šolskega nasilja in medvrstniškega nasilja v slovenskih šolah, s poudarkom na praktičnih rešitvah in prilagoditvah. Ponuja širše razumevanje učinkovitega preprečevanja medvrstniškega nasilja v šoli, s priporočili za izobraževalne ustanove, strokovne delavce in učitelje.

Title:Preventive programs for reducing bullying in schools
Abstract:The thesis analyzed preventive programs aimed at preventing violence and bullying both globally and in Slovenia. The work focused on established prevention programs, their functioning, results, evaluations, and key factors influencing their effectiveness. With the help of professional literature, the thesis examined how these programs address the issue of peer violence. The theoretical part explained key concepts related to violence and its various forms, such as physical, psychological, and cyber violence, as well as other forms like stalking. Factors influencing the occurrence of violence in schools were also explained. Findings show that well-designed programs have been highly effective in reducing peer violence; however, the success of the intervention critically depends on the proper and consistent implementation of the selected program. The objectives of the research were to examine the effectiveness of violence prevention programs, compare existing evaluations, and determine how these programs are implemented in the Slovenian school system. The thesis focuses on identifying the most successful approaches. The significance of the thesis lies in contributing to a better understanding and treatment of school violence and bullying in Slovenian schools, with an emphasis on practical solutions and adaptations. It offers a broader understanding of effective prevention of peer violence in schools, along with recommendations for educational institutions, professionals, and teachers.
