Title:Online platform for developing annual training plans and monitoring the impact of training on an individual's athletic performance
Abstract:The master's thesis addresses the problem of traditional approaches to training planning in sports, where coaches rely on intuition instead of scientifically supported methods. This results in inefficiency when working with a larger number of athletes. As a solution, a functional prototype of the web application Q-LAP (Quick layered annual periodization) was developed, based on modern technical architecture with Vue.js frontend, Python Flask backend, and Oracle autonomous database with implementation of Oracle PL/SQL packages for business logic. The developed system enables automatic creation of annual cycles with a ten-level difficulty scale, intelligent distribution of over 200 standardized exercises across five motor abilities, and biomechanical normalization of test results for objective progress comparison. Validation through interviews with coaches from Athletic Club Velenje confirmed the needs for automation of administrative tasks and better visualization of progress. The application successfully implements scientifically supported cyclization methods with active rest every fourth week, but limitations remain in managing custom exercises and dynamic load adaptation, which represents opportunities for further system development.
