V teoretičnem delu smo predstavili definicije in ključne pojme, povezane z delovnim časom, zadovoljstvom in produktivnostjo zaposlenih.

Title:The impact of reduced working hours on employee productivity and satisfaction
Abstract:In this thesis, we explored how reduced working hours affect employee satisfaction and productivity, as well as the balance between professional and private life. The focus of the thesis is on employees in the private sector who perform administrative and office work. The main aim of the research was to determine whether a shorter workday would contribute to higher productivity and greater employee satisfaction. In the theoretical part, we presented definitions and key concepts related to working hours, job satisfaction, and employee productivity. In the empirical part, we conducted a survey to compare the opinions of employees working a standard 8-hour schedule with those working reduced hours. The results of the study showed that most respondents believe that shortening the working day would have a positive effect on their satisfaction and work performance. It was also found that a shorter schedule allows for better reconciliation of private and professional life, but only with good work organization. Based on the research, we can conclude that reduced working time represents an important step toward achieving a better work-life balance and has a strong impact on employees and their job satisfaction, which in turn positively affects productivity.
