Abstract:Diplomsko delo obravnava razvoj avtomatskega zbijalnika satnih okvirjev, katerega namen je zmanjšati odvisnost od ročnega dela in izboljšati ponovljivost sestave. Rezultati analize potrjujejo funkcionalnost in izvedljivost koncepta. Nadaljnji razvoj vključuje izdelavo prototipa in praktična testiranja.

Title:Automatic nailing machine for beehive frames
Abstract:The thesis presents the development of an automatic nailing machine for beehive frames, designed to reduce manual labor and improve assembly repeatability. Manual manufacturing of frames is time-consuming, physically demanding, and often leads to errors and inconsistent product quality. To address these issues, a device was designed, consisting of five main assemblies: the supporting frame, strip feeders, nailing units, a transport system, and a stacking module. For each assembly, different conceptual solutions were considered and compared, and the most suitable variants were selected based on functionality, integration feasibility, and cost efficiency. Particular attention was given to the choice of actuation, where pneumatic and electromechanical solutions were identified as the most appropriate. As part of the CAD modeling process, an interference analysis was carried out to verify that no collisions occur between the moving parts during operation. The results confirm the feasibility and functionality of the proposed concept. Based on the design and analyses, the machine is expected to achieve a cycle time of approximately 20 seconds per frame, significantly increasing productivity and ensuring higher product quality compared to manual assembly. Future work should include prototype development and practical testing under real operating conditions.
