Abstract:V diplomskem delu smo proučili pomen uporabe enotne znamke tovornjakov v slovenskih avtoprevozniških podjetjih.

Title:The impact of a single truck brand strategy on cost and operational efficiency in road freight transport
Abstract:The research addresses the significance of using a single truck brand within Slovenian road transportation companies. The main objective was to determine whether employing a uniform fleet as opposed to a mixed fleet affects maintenance costs, operational efficiency, spare parts availability, and simplifies the work of drivers and service technicians. Data was collected through an online survey completed by 82 companies. The findings indicate that most companies prefer using a single-brand truck fleet due to reduced maintenance costs, standardized servicing processes, and improved service support. Additionally, the uniform fleet significantly simplifies daily operational activities. The statistical analysis revealed a significant association between respondents' gender and their attitudes toward mixed fleets, while other demographic factors showed no significant influence. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that a single-brand truck fleet represents a more efficient long-term strategy for Slovenian transport companies, as it combines lower costs, higher operational efficiency, and simplified work processes for employees.
