Abstract:Kibernetski napadi še vedno ostajajo ena najpomembnejših groženj nacionalni varnosti.

Title:Detection of malicious cyber activities in the environment using various cybersecurity tools
Abstract:Cyber-attacks remain one of the most important threats to national security. These attacks in cyberspace can target computer systems and/or networks, as well as physical systems. In addition, cyber-attacks today are composed of several different elements. Cyber security ensures the confidentiality of computer-connected systems, software, hardware and information against cyber-attacks. Without a proper protection policy, attackers can easily access a system and misuse private information, customer data, business data and much more. Detecting cyber-attacks is an increasingly common threat prevention strategy. This includes identifying patterns or attack profiles in the network and responding to unexpected activity. Detection is done using intrusion detection systems that monitor the continuous flow of connections and look for signs of attacks. Two main approaches are used, namely, misuse detection, which uses signatures of documented attacks, and anomaly detection, which uses profiles of normal network behaviour to report intrusions when a change from the normal profile is detected (Prabhu et al., 2020).
