Z metodo stroškovno-prihodkovne analize in izračunom ključnih ekonomskih kazalnikov (koeficient ekonomičnosti, donosnost prihodkov, ROI) so bili analizirani podatki o proizvodnji 20.000 litrov vina letno na 5 hektarjih vinogradov. Rezultati kažejo, da vinarstvo dosega koeficient ekonomičnosti 1,78, donosnost prihodkov 43,8 % in donosnost kapitala 33,4  %, kar potrjuje visoko učinkovitost poslovnega modela. Analiza občutljivosti dodatno prikazuje vpliv vremenskih tveganj in naraščajočih stroškov vhodnih surovin.

Title:Economic analysis of a business model for a medium-sized winery in Slovenia
Abstract:This thesis presents an economic analysis of the business model of a medium-sized winery in Slovenia, focusing on a case study of the family-run enterprise Vinarstvo Šoštarič. The main objective was to evaluate cost and revenue structure, operational efficiency, and the impact of additional activities such as wine tourism and tastings on business stability and long-term viability. Using cost–revenue analysis and key economic indicators (economic coefficient, return on sales, ROI), the study examined a production volume of 20,000 litres of wine annually across 5 hectares of vineyards. The findings indicate a strong business performance, with an economic coefficient of 1.78, return on sales of 43.8%, and return on investment of 33.4%. Sensitivity analysis was applied to assess the effects of weather-related risks and rising input costs. Special attention was given to the role of complementary activities, which contribute to risk diversification and increased market visibility. The SWOT analysis highlighted the winery’s key strengths and challenges, as well as opportunities for digital sales development and tourism integration. The results of this research provide practical insights for medium-sized wineries seeking optimized business strategies, as well as for agricultural policy-makers. The thesis concludes with targeted recommendations for improving cost efficiency, increasing revenue, and strengthening resilience to external pressures.
