To smo raziskovali s pomočjo patronažnih medicinskih sester, ki nevsiljivo in prijateljsko vstopajo v domove svojih pacientov z zavestnim namenom – pomagati ljudem v stiski. Intervjuji so bili prepisani s pomočjo aplikacije Beey.

Title:Spatial Aspects of Rural Poverty
Abstract:The elderly are the most vulnerable population groups in rural areas and are often completely excluded from social events - their social connections are weak, and the feeling of loneliness is highlighted. The phenomenon of poverty in rural areas is also often associated with job loss, especially in the areas with larger corporal collapse. As a result, the amount of humanitarian aid, especially in the form of food packages, is increasing year by year. Rural poverty, however, often remains invisible or hidden, as people rarely admit it due to shame. Humanitarian organizations play a significant role in identifying such cases. In our master's thesis, we focus on poverty in rural areas in the Podravska statistical region. We were primarily interested in poverty that is hidden and cannot be seen from the outside. We researched this with the help of home care nurses who unobtrusively and in a friendly manner enter the homes of their patients with a conscious intention to help people in need. Poverty can affect people's health, their greatest value. There is a two-way relationship between poverty and health, namely that due to illness, poor people become even poorer. Due to illness people are unable to work. Illness also affects productivity and consequently reduces the income. The master's thesis summarizes the literature review related to poverty, both general and in rural areas. It also presents statistical data, a definition of poverty (including in rural areas), an overview of indicators and types of poverty. The connection between poverty and the role of home care nurses is defined. With their help, we investigated where poverty is reflected the most. A different methodology was used. We conducted semi-structured interviews with home care nurses, which took place in health centres. A list of questions was prepared for the task, which is added to the appendices. The interviews were transcribed using the Beey application. After the interviews, we analysed the text data from the interviews using the ATLAS.TI online tool for qualitative data analysis. We coded the data in the tool. We found out that there are more people in rural areas who are transport poor, accessibility to public services is worse, and transport accessibility is also poor. We also found out that there is less hidden poverty in rural areas compared to cities. In rural areas, people are still more open and willing to help people in need.
