Abstract:Uvod: Motivacija medicinskih sester pomembno vpliva na kakovost zdravstvene obravnave. Članke smo nato sintetizirali in predstavili s PRISMA diagramom (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses). Vključene članke smo predstavili v evalvacijski tabeli. Za oceno kakovosti člankov smo uporabili orodje JBI (Joanna Briggs Institute) in jih nato vsebinsko analizirali. Razprava in zaključek: Višja motivacija medicinskih sester je povezana z boljšo kakovostjo zdravstvene oskrbe. V slovenskem prostoru je to področje slabo raziskano, zato so potrebne nadaljnje raziskave in sistemski ukrepi za izboljšanje motivacije v praksi.

Title:Motivation and the influence of nurses´ motivation on the quality of patient medical care
Abstract:Abstract Introduction: Nurses’ motivation has a significant impact on the quality of healthcare delivery. The aim of the study was to examine the factors influencing nurses’ motivation and its impact on the quality of patient care. Methods: A systematic literature review was conducted. The search strategy was applied in the MEDLINE, CINAHL, and PubMed databases. The selected articles were synthesized and reviewed following PRISMA guidelines (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses). Included studies were presented in an evaluation table. The JBI (Joanna Briggs Institute) tool was used to assess the quality of the articles, followed by a content analysis. Results: A total of 14 out of 26 reviewed articles were included in the final analysis. Nurses' motivation has a significant impact on the quality of care. The main category in the content analysis was titled Nurses’ motivation and its impact on the quality of care, divided into four subcategories: (1) the influence of leaders and leadership styles; (2) internal factors; (3) other external factors (working conditions, salaries, colleagues); and (4) the impact of different forms of motivation on nurses’ behavior and the quality of healthcare delivery. Discussion and Conclusion: Higher nurse motivation is associated with better quality of healthcare. In the Slovenian context, this topic remains under-researched, therefore further studies and systemic measures are needed to improve motivation in practice.
