Abstract:Športna gimnastika je ena najzahtevnejših športnih panog, saj zahteva hkrati moč, gibljivost, ravnotežje, hitrost in natančnost. Zunanjo obremenitev so predstavljali merljivi podatki: trajanje posameznega dela treninga, število izvedenih vaj, njihova zahtevnost in delež optimalno izvedenih prvin.

Title:Analysis of training using the ACWR method in children category in women's artistic gymnastics
Abstract:Artistic gymnastics is one of the most demanding sports, as it requires strength, flexibility, balance, speed, and precision at the same time. For young girls who are still developing, it was therefore very important that the training sessions were carefully planned and gradually intensified. In this thesis, we examined the monitoring of training loads in girls aged 7 to 10 years who train at the Gymnastics School Ruše, with the aim of ensuring safe progress and reducing the risk of injuries. The training loads were monitored in two ways. Internal load was determined by the girls' ratings of perceived exertion (RPE) after each training session on a scale from 1 to 10, while we also provided our own ratings as the coach. The external load was represented by measurable data: the duration of each training segment, the number of repetitions, the intensity of the exercises, and the proportion of optimally executed elements. In this way, we obtained a complete picture of how much work was performed and how demanding it felt for the girls. The loads were analyzed by comparing a shorter period (one week) with a longer period (four weeks). When the weekly load was similar to the monthly average, this indicated that the training was balanced and progressing gradually. Sudden increases or decreases in load, however, highlighted the risk of overtraining or insufficient stimulus for progress. The study, which was conducted between April 14 and May 10, 2025, and included 12 girls, showed in most cases a safe and gradual increase in training loads. The findings demonstrated that systematic monitoring of training loads already in the youngest gymnasts made training safer, ensured steady progress, and allowed better adaptation of exercises to individual needs. The thesis confirmed that regular recording of perceived exertion and measurable work supported the planning process for the coach, while enabling the gymnasts to develop in a healthy and sustainable way.
