Abstract:Zaključno delo obravnava zadovoljstvo z delom zaporskih delavcev v Zavodu za prestajanje kazni zapora Ljubljana.

Title:Prison workers' satisfaction with work in the Ljubljana prison
Abstract:The diploma thesis focuses on the job satisfaction of prison workers in the Ljubljana prison. The purpose of the study was to examine the factors that influence the job satisfaction of prison workers and to determine how these factors shape their experiences and perceptions of the work environment. Theoretical basis, deriving from the findings on the factors of job satisfaction, served as a framework for understanding the impact of working conditions, interpersonal relationships, organisational support and a sense of security on employee satisfaction. As part of the diploma thesis, an empirical study was conducted, in which 29 prison workers from the Ljubljana prison participated, with whom semi-structured interviews were conducted. It was found that employees often perceive their work as demanding, burdensome and undervalued, while at the same time highlighting the importance of good relationships and a sense of belonging as key factors of satisfaction. Despite the staff shortage and demanding conditions, employees often perceive their work as socially important and responsible. The findings highlight the need to improve organisational conditions, invest more in human resources, and strengthen psychosocial support for employees. They also contribute to a better understanding of work challenges in the prison system and offer a starting point for designing measures to increase job satisfaction.
