Abstract:Magistrsko delo obravnava razvoj mehkih komunikacijskih veščin z uporabo virtualne resničnosti in umetne inteligence v sodobnem izobraževalnem in poslovnem okolju.

Title:Developing soft communication skills with virtual reality and artifical intelligence
Abstract:This master’s thesis examines the development of soft communication skills through the use of virtual reality and artificial intelligence in contemporary educational and professional contexts. Soft skills such as communication, public speaking, self-confidence, and the management of anxiety are increasingly recognized as essential, yet they remain challenging to teach and evaluate due to their subjective and experiential nature. Traditional learning approaches often lack safe practice environments, sufficient repetition, and structured feedback, which limits their overall effectiveness. The thesis explores the use of virtual reality as a tool for simulating realistic communication scenarios and artificial intelligence as a means of providing immediate and structured feedback. The empirical part focuses on the analysis of perceived user experience and changes in self-assessed confidence, emotional comfort, and attitudes toward public speaking following the use of a VR-based training tool. The findings indicate that virtual environments contribute to a greater sense of psychological safety, higher engagement, and increased willingness to participate in communicative situations, while artificial intelligence enables more consistent and timely feedback compared to conventional methods. The conclusions suggest that the integration of virtual reality and artificial intelligence represents a promising enhancement to existing approaches to soft skills development. Although the observed effects are moderate due to the short duration of the intervention, the results highlight the potential of advanced technologies to support communication skills training and point toward meaningful opportunities for their broader application in educational and organizational settings.
