Abstract:Namen raziskave je bil preučiti, kako so starši obveščeni o odsotnosti izbranega pediatra in kako ocenjujejo dostopnost informacij o zdravstvenem stanju otrok v takih primerih. Podatki so bili analizirani s pomočjo deskriptivne in inferenčne statistike (χ² test, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallisov test).

Title:Informing parents about the absence of the chosen pediatrician and access to information about child´s health condition
Abstract:The purpose of the study was to examine how parents are informed about the absence of their chosen paediatrician and how they assess the accessibility of information about their children's health in such cases. Special emphasis was placed on the differences between communication channels and the relationship between the timeliness of notification and parental satisfaction. The study was based on a quantitative approach with a questionnaire. 372 parents of children admitted to a paediatric clinic participated. The data were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics (χ² test, Mann–Whitney U test, Kruskal–Wallis test). The results show that most parents receive notifications about the pediatrician's absence, but physical channels prevail (website, notice on the clinic door). Parents, however, rate digital forms of notification as the most useful, especially SMS and e-mail. Statistical analyses showed that satisfaction with notification is higher among parents who use digital channels, the accessibility of information varies depending on education, and satisfaction is closely related to the timeliness of notification. The findings indicate the need for greater use of digital channels to provide parents with faster and easier access to information. The results are important for improving the organization of work in pediatric clinics and ensuring greater transparency and patient satisfaction.
