Abstract:Diplomsko delo obravnava optimizacijo procesa izdelav ponudb v podjetju M Sora d.d.

Title:Optimization of the quotation process in the manufacturing company
Abstract:The thesis deals with the optimization of the quotation process at M Sora d.d. The company is engaged in the production and development of wooden and wood-aluminum building furniture. Preparing bids, even simple ones, is often time-consuming and wasteful in a company, as it involves technically demanding products and cooperation between multiple departments. The purpose of the task is to examine existing procedures, highlight the main problems in the process, and explore the pos-sibilities for improvement using digital tools and automation. The research included coversation with the sales manager, a review of internal docu-mentation, and an analysis of examples of already prepared offers. The process was analyzed using BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation), which provides a graphi-cal representation of the workflow, making it easier to identify repetitive tasks, time delays, and unnecessary steps in the process. Based on these findings, a prototype solution is currently being developed that will enable standardized and faster prepara-tion of simple bids with reduced manual work. The final work will offer recommendations for further development and the possibility of implementation in practice, in addition to the analysis and concept of the solution. The goal is to increase the efficiency of the commercial department, shorten the pro-cessing time of inquiries, and improve the company's overall sales process.
