Abstract:Diplomsko delo obravnava vpliv tehniške dejavnosti pri izdelavi robota iz odpadnih materialov na razvoj tehniške ustvarjalnosti, samostojnosti, sodelovanja, vztrajnosti in zanimanja predšolskih otrok. Podatki so bili obdelani z opisno statistiko.

Title:Encouraging the technical creativity of preschool children by building a robot from recycled materials
Abstract:The thesis discusses the influence of technical activity in the production of a robot from waste materials on the development of technical creativity, independence, cooperation, perseverance, and interest of preschool children. The theoretical part focuses on the importance of technical activity in kindergarten, children's technical creativity, the use of waste materials, and the role of the preschool teacher in promoting creative and technical thinking. The empirical part is based on the observation of children and the analysis of a survey questionnaire for preschool teachers. The study included 38 children aged 5 to 6 years. The experimental group consisted of 20 children who made a robot from waste materials, while the control group consisted of 18 children who used expanded polystyrene and purchased creative materials. The data were processed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that children in the experimental group achieved a higher proportion of positive evaluations in most observed criteria than children in the control group. A total of 18 preschool teachers participated in the survey questionnaire. The findings confirm that technical activities using waste materials significantly contribute to the development of technical creativity, independence, perseverance, and intrinsic motivation of preschool children, and represent an effective didactic and sustainability-oriented pedagogical practice. The analysis of the questionnaire showed that preschool teachers recognize the positive effects of technical activity and the use of waste materials on the child's development.
