Abstract:Finančne krize predstavljajo pomemben pojav v sodobnem gospodarstvu, saj vplivajo na delovanje finančnega sistema in širše gospodarstvo.

Title:Analysis of financial crises
Abstract:Financial crises are a significant phenomenon in the modern economy, as they affect the functioning of the financial system and the broader economy. These are periods of instability caused by various factors, such as excessive credit growth, inadequate supervision, speculation, and a loss of confidence in financial institutions. In this thesis, we focused on analyzing nine financial crises, their causes, progression and consequences. Significant emphasis was placed on comparing selected crises, ranging from earlier examples such as the Tulip Mania and the South Sea Bubble to modern crises such as the 2008 global financial crisis. In this thesis, we explored their common characteristics and their consequences for the economy. We found that, despite their differences, financial crises often follow a similar pattern and have similar consequences, such as a decline in economic activity, rising unemployment, and instability in the financial system. The 2008 global financial crisis stands out in particular, as its global scale led to some of the most severe consequences. We also found that, in addition to negative effects, crises have certain positive effects, as they contribute to improving the regulation and supervision of the financial system. Understanding financial crises is crucial for the timely identification of risks and a more effective response to future shocks.
