Abstract:	Magistrsko delo obravnava lahko branje kot pomemben način prilagajanja besedil za izboljšanje dostopnosti do informacij ter spodbujanje socialne vključenosti oseb z intelektualno oviranostjo. Lahko branje temelji na načelih jasnega izražanja, kratkih in razumljivih povedi, preproste strukture besedila ter podpore z ustreznim slikovnim gradivom, kar omogoča boljše razumevanje informacij in večjo samostojnost uporabnikov. Namen raziskave je bil oblikovati in preveriti dva vodnika v lahkem branju – Vodnik po Mestnem muzeju Krško in Vodnik po Valvasorjevi knjižnici Krško – ter raziskati njuno razumljivost in uporabnost za ciljno skupino uporabnikov. Raziskava temelji na kvalitativnem raziskovalnem pristopu. V proces priprave in prirejanja besedil v lahkem branju so bili vključeni testni bralci, učenci posebnega programa vzgoje in izobraževanja z zmerno in težjo intelektualno oviranostjo. Razumevanje besedil je bilo preverjeno s skupinskimi polstrukturiranimi intervjuji, besedila so bila na podlagi odzivov udeležencev postopno prilagajana v skladu z načeli lahkega branja. Končna različica vodnikov je bila dodatno preverjena s testnimi bralci kontrolne skupine. Rezultati raziskave kažejo, da besedila, pripravljena po načelih lahkega branja, pri osebah z intelektualno oviranostjo, pomembno izboljšajo razumevanje informacij. Udeleženci so ob branju vodnikov pokazali tudi večje zanimanje za obisk muzeja in knjižnice.

Title:	Easy-To-Read guides to the Municipal Museum of Krško and Valvasor Library Krško as support for the community inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities
Abstract:	The master's thesis addresses easy-to-read texts as an important method of adapting written information to improve access to information and to promote the social inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities. Easy-to-read texts are based on the principles of clear expression, short and understandable sentences, a simple text structure, and support with appropriate visual material, which enables better comprehensions of information and greater independence of users. The aim of research was to develop and evaluate two easy-to-read guides to the Municipal Museum of Krško and Valvasor Library Krško, and to examine their comprehensibility and usability for the target group of users. The study is based on a qualitative research approach. The readers, students enrolled in a special education programme for individuals with moderate and severe intellectual disabilities, were involved in the process of preparing and adapting the easy-to-read texts. Comprehension of the texts were gradually adapted according to the participants responses in accordance with the principles of easy-to-read language. The final version of the guides was additionally evaluated by test readers from a control group. The results of the study indicate that texts prepared according to the principles of easy-to-read language significantly improve the comprehension of information among people with intellectual disabilities. After reading the guides, participants also showed greater interest in visiting the museum and the library.
