V empiričnem delu so predstavljeni rezultati raziskave. Rezultati so bili statistično obdelani s programom SPSS.

Title:The effect of running training on the endurance of first-grade children
Abstract:This diploma thesis examines the effects of a structured running training programme on the development of endurance in first-grade primary school children. The aim of the study was to determine whether a six-week running programme improves children's endurance, to identify differences between the experimental and control groups, and to examine any potential gender differences. The theoretical part outlines children's motor development, the role of physical activity, the concept of endurance and methods for its development, the importance of running and movement in a natural environment, and appropriate approaches to endurance assessment. The empirical part presents the results of the study. The sample consisted of 20 children who were divided into an experimental group and a control group. Data were collected using the 6-minute Cooper test, which was administered at the beginning and at the end of the experimental period in both groups. Between the initial and final assessments, the experimental group completed 18 training sessions, while the control group engaged in free play. The data were statistically analysed using SPSS. The findings indicate a statistically significant improvement in the endurance of the experimental group, and that their progress was greater than that of the control group. Some gender differences were observed, although they were not statistically significant. The results suggest that structured running training has a positive effect on the development of endurance in first-grade children.
