V teoretičnem delu so predstavljeni koncept podaljšanega bivanja, značilnosti projektnega učnega dela in razvojne značilnosti otrok. Učenci so pri delu razvijali kritično mišljenje, reševali probleme v skupini in krepili motorične spretnosti. Visoka stopnja vključenosti učencev potrjuje, da projektno učno delo predstavlja učinkovit pristop, ki omogoča pridobivanje znanja na ustvarjalen in učencem zanimiv način.

Title:Project-Based learning in after-school care through the creation of a technical product from waste material
Abstract:This master's thesis examines project-based learning implemented within after-school care as a form of creative leisure-time activity. The purpose of the research was to determine how such an approach influences the development of pupils' creativity, independence, cooperation, and environmental awareness. The theoretical part presents the concept of after-school care, the characteristics of project-based learning, and the developmental characteristics of children. Special attention is also given to the importance of practical work and creating products from waste materials. In the practical part, project-based learning was carried out with second-grade primary school pupils over the course of seven sessions. Data were collected through observation, evaluation discussions, and the teacher's reflection. The results show that project-based learning positively influences the development of creativity, independence, and cooperation, while also contributing to greater motivation among pupils. Through their work, pupils developed critical thinking skills, solved problems in groups, and strengthened their motor skills. The high level of pupil engagement confirms that project-based learning represents an effective approach that enables the acquisition of knowledge in a creative and engaging way for pupils.
