Abstract:V sodobni družbi postaja računalniško mišljenje ena izmed ključnih kompetenc, saj posameznikom omogoča učinkovito reševanje problemov, logično razmišljanje in razumevanje tehnologije.

Title:The Lego collection as a tool for developing computational thinking in the first and second educational period
Abstract:In modern society, computational thinking is becoming one of the key competencies, as it enables individuals to solve problems effectively, think logically, and understand technology. The educational process plays an important role in its development, where the use of educational robotics is becoming increasingly common. One of the widely used approaches is the use of LEGO Mindstorms robots, which enable students to learn through exploration, creation, and problem-solving tasks. The purpose of this master's thesis was to investigate the impact of using LEGO Mindstorms robots on the development of computational thinking in pupils. The study involved students aged 6 to 12 who participated in a 28-hour LEGO robotics course. We used a pre-test and a post-test based on computational thinking tasks to assess progress. The results of the study show that the use of LEGO robotics had a positive impact on the development of computational thinking in students. After completing the course, students achieved better results than before the start, with progress observed in various areas of computational thinking. The findings confirm that incorporating robotics into education is meaningful and effective, as it promotes active learning, motivation, and the development of key competencies for the 21st century.
