Ugotovitve poudarjajo pomen zgodnjega prepoznavanja težav s spanjem in vključevanja ocene spanja v zdravstveno obravnavo.

Title:Sleep deprivation and adult quality of life
Abstract:Introduction: Sleep is a key factor in physical and mental health and has a significant impact on the quality of life of adults. Sleep deprivation and sleep disorders are common in modern society and represent a significant public health problem. The purpose of this thesis was to examine how sleep deprivation impacts the quality of life of adults. Methods: A literature review was conducted. The literature was searched in the PubMed and Web of Science databases using a predefined search string, as well as inclusion and exclusion criteria. Eight quantitative studies were included in the final analysis. Content analysis was used for data analysis and synthesis. Results: The findings indicate that sleep deprivation is associated with a lower quality of life among adults. Negative impacts are evident in the areas of psychological well-being and mental health, as well as physical health and general well-being. Poor sleep is associated with depression, anxiety, stress, lower life satisfaction, fatigue, daytime sleepiness, poorer physical health, and reduced functionality and productivity. Discussion and Conclusion: The literature review confirms that sleep has a multifaceted impact on the quality of life of adults. Sleep quality has proven to be a more important factor than sleep duration itself. The findings emphasize the importance of early identification of sleep problems and the inclusion of sleep assessment in medical care.
