Abstract:Stres predstavlja pomemben del sodobnega življenja in vpliva na posameznikovo zdravje, počutje ter delovno uspešnost.

Title:Organizational stress and its impact in the selected company
Abstract:Stress represents an important part of modern life and affects an individual's health, well-being, and work performance. It occurs especially frequently in the work environment, where employees are exposed to various time pressures, and demanding interpersonal relationships. Long-term stress can negatively affect both the invidual and the organization. In this diploma thesis, we examined organizational stress and its impact on employees at the Ormož Psychiatric Hospital. In the theoretical part, we presented the concept of stress, its causes, symptoms, consequences, and ways of overcoming and preventing it. Special attention was devoted to work-related stress and the factors influencing its occurrence in the healthcare environment. In the empirical part, we used a questionnaire to investigate the presence of stress among employees. We found that stress is considerably present among employees, while workload represents the most important cause of stress. Employees most frequently reported chronic fatigue as the most common consequence of stress, while talking to family members or friends was identified as the most common way of coping with stress. The research also revealed the need for greater organizational support and improvements in the working environment. Based on the findings, we formulated recommendations for reducing stress among employees and for improving work organization and employee support.
