Vključene raziskave so bile analizirane glede na vrsto raziskave, metodologijo in glavne ugotovitve. Rezultati so bili predstavljeni v evalvacijski tabeli in sintetizirani.

Title:Diet for symptom management for women with polycystic ovary syndrome
Abstract:Polycystic ovary syndrome is one of the most common endocrine disorders among women of reproductive age. The condition is often associated with metabolic and hormonal disturbances. In recent years, increasing attention has been given to the role of diet and a healthy lifestyle in managing the symptoms of polycystic ovary syndrome. The final thesis is based on a review of professional and scientific literature on the impact of diet on the management of symptoms of polycystic ovary syndrome. The literature search was conducted using the PIO approach. The included studies were analysed according to the type of study, methodology and main findings. The results were presented in an evaluation table and synthesised. A total of 11 studies were included in the final analysis. These studies examined dietary patterns based on whole foods with a low glycaemic index and high-protein foods, which proved to be the most effective in symptom management. Such dietary patterns contribute to positive hormonal balance, body weight regulation and improved insulin sensitivity. The findings indicate that appropriate nutritional management plays an important role in the long-term management of the syndrome’s symptoms. It is important to increase support and awareness in the implementation of healthy eating habits as part of the comprehensive management of the condition.
