Abstract:Magistrsko delo obravnava porabo časa med 45-minutno uro dodatne strokovne pomoči za premagovanje primanjkljajev, ovir oziroma motenj na izbrani osnovni šoli. Podatki so bili zbrani s časovnimi dnevniki ur dodatne strokovne pomoči, analizo individualiziranih programov in intervjuji z izvajalkami dodatne strokovne pomoči.

Title:A Case Study of Activity Implementation in Additional Professional Support Session for Overcoming Learning Difficulties, Barriers or Disorders
Abstract:The master's thesis examines the use of time in a 45-minute lesson of additional professional support for overcoming deficits, barriers and disorders at a selected primary school. The theoretical part presents children with special needs, the purpose of additional professional support, the role of the individualized programme, and the factors that influence the implementation of support. The empirical part is designed as a case study at a selected primary school. Data were collected through time logs of additional professional support lessons, an analysis of individualized programmes, and interviews with providers of additional professional support. The findings show that time in additional professional support lessons is distributed among activities related to the goals of additional professional support, ongoing schoolwork, organization, motivation, calming activities, and evaluation. Without considering the providers' additional notes, ongoing schoolwork accounted for the largest share of time; however, when these notes were considered, part of this work was shown to be connected to the goals of additional professional support. The goals in individualized programmes establish the professional framework for providers, but they must remain sufficiently flexible for real working conditions. Time use is also influenced by systemic pressure related to grades, the complexity of learning content, the subject on the timetable, the pupil's current state, the professional profile of the provider, and work organization. The study highlights the importance of maintaining a balance between the goals of support and the pupil's current needs.
