Abstract:V zaključnem delu je obravnavana digitalna zasebnost uporabnikov mobilnih naprav v kontekstu invazivnega oglaševanja. V teoretičnem delu so predstavljeni pojmi digitalne zasebnosti, ciljnega oglaševanja, piškotkov, profiliranja in pravnega varstva osebnih podatkov. Kot dejavniki zaznanega vdora v zasebnost so bili prepoznani pomanjkanje transparentnosti, omejen nadzor uporabnikov, nizka digitalna pismenost in zapletenost oglaševalskih sistemov. Formalna privolitev zato ne pomeni nujno dejansko informirane izbire. Učinkovito varstvo digitalne zasebnosti je pogojeno z večjo transparentnostjo obdelave osebnih podatkov, okrepljenim nadzorom nad podatkovnimi tokovi ter doslednim uresničevanjem načela vgrajenega varstva zasebnosti.

Title:Digital privacy of mobile device users and perceptions of privacy intrusion in the context of invasive advertising
Abstract:The thesis examines the digital privacy of mobile device users in the context of invasive advertising. It is based on the fact that mobile devices, through connectivity, applications, location services and tracking technologies, enable extensive collection of personal data. Personalized advertising may provide certain benefits, but at the same time it can create feelings of surveillance, loss of privacy and distrust. In the theoretical part, the concepts of digital privacy, targeted advertising, cookies, profiling and legal protection of personal data are presented. The empirical part is based on written semi-structured interviews with experts in the fields of personal data protection and information security.Through the analysis of the responses, it was established that the invasiveness of advertising is not related only to the frequency of advertisements, but primarily to the non-transparent collection, linking and disclosure of data to third parties. Lack of transparency, limited user control, low digital literacy and the complexity of advertising systems were identified as key factors contributing to the perceived intrusion into privacy. Formal consent therefore does not necessarily represent a genuinely informed choice. Effective protection of digital privacy depends on greater transparency in the processing of personal data, strengthened oversight of data flows and consistent implementation of the principle of privacy by design.
