Celovitejše razumevanje njihovega odločanja zato zahteva povezovanje neoklasičnega in vedenjskega ekonomskega pristopa.

Title:Selected behavioural biases and resistance to change among students of economics and business studies
Abstract:Povzetek: Neoclassical economic theory views individuals as rational decision-makers with stable preferences who choose, from among the available alternatives, the option that provides them with the greatest utility. In practice, however, decision-making is often influenced by limited information, emotional responses, reference points and the way in which alternatives are presented, which may lead to systematic deviations from fully rational behaviour. This undergraduate thesis examines loss aversion, the endowment effect and status quo bias as behavioural biases that may contribute to resistance to change among students of economics and business studies. The results indicate that loss aversion and the endowment effect are present in the population under study. Respondents assigned greater weight to potential losses than to comparable gains and generally valued goods and rights they perceived as their own more highly. Status quo bias was not confirmed, as respondents opted for change in most of the situations examined. Nevertheless, two of the behavioural biases under investigation were identified among the students, indicating the presence of psychological factors that may, under certain circumstances, increase reluctance to accept change. The findings confirm that individuals are not always fully rational, but neither are their decisions invariably biased. A more comprehensive understanding of decision-making therefore requires the integration of neoclassical and behavioural economic approaches.
