| Abstract: | This thesis examines the digital transformation of Longis d.o.o. through the implementation of the comprehensive Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution Odoo. Prior to planning the digital transformation, the company supported its business processes using a combination of various tools that were not integrated with one another. In the theoretical section, we defined digital transformation and presented the development, architecture, modules, and trends of ERP solutions, and reviewed the offerings of global and Slovenian providers, dedicating a special chapter to the Odoo platform. In the empirical part, using a case study, gap analysis, and an interview with the owner, we analyzed the current state of key business processes and areas, namely order processing, personalization, inventory management, accounting, public tenders, and customer communication. In each of these areas, we also identified opportunities for improvement. Based on a comparison of solutions available on the Slovenian market, we justified the selection of the Odoo platform, developed a projection of the future state using six modules (Sales, Inventory, Accounting, CRM, Project, and Studio), and proposed an implementation timeline that includes identified risks and measures to mitigate them. Since the actual implementation goes beyond the scope of this project, we present the expected effects on operational efficiency, process reliability, decision-making quality, and support for growth as a qualitative forecast based on three empirical studies of similar implementations. The results show a high degree of alignment between the company’s business processes and the functionalities of the Odoo platform, and point to improvements across all areas of the company’s operations. |
