Abstract:Digitalne kompetence učiteljev so v sodobnem času nujna posledica vse bolj digitalizirane družbe.

Title:The use of self-reflection tools in assessing teachers digital competencies
Abstract:In modern times, teachers' digital competences are an inevitable consequence of our increasingly digital society. Action plans for digital education in Slovenia as well as in the European Union are also focused on the development and enhancement of digital competences and skills. The master's thesis discusses the theory related to digital competences. It presents in detail the framework of digital competences for educators – DigCompEdu. One of the goals of the master’s thesis was to ascertain which self-reflective tools in the field of digital competences are obtainable for teachers. Three self-reflective tools are described and presented in the theoretical part. In the empirical part, the selected tool SELFIEforTEACHERS was tested on a group of mathematics teachers. Strengths and weaknesses of digital competences for participating teachers were identified based on the results of the self-reflective tool. It has been established that the use of self-reflective tools can significantly contribute to the professional development of an individual teacher and, consequently, to the educational institution as a whole.
