Title:Analysis of the engagement of employees in the University medical center Ljubljana
Abstract:Employee engagement is one of the key factors influencing organizational performance. It affects the quality of work, productivity, employee satisfaction and the achievement of organizational goals. In healthcare organizations, its importance is even more pronounced, as it directly impacts the quality of patient care. The purpose of this bachelor’s thesis was to examine the level of employee engagement at the University Medical Centre Ljubljana and to identify the factors that significantly influence it. The theoretical part presents the foundations of employee engagement and the factors that foster it. It also explains the importance of organizational climate, leadership, employee recognition and opportunities for personal and professional development. The empirical part of the thesis is based on research conducted among employees of the University Medical Centre Ljubljana. By completing a survey questionnaire, employees expressed their views on the concept of engagement. The results showed that employees have a clear understanding of the expectations related to their work and perceive their work as important. At the same time, the study revealed certain shortcomings in the area of leadership, particularly regarding communication with supervisors, employee recognition and discussions about personal development and career advancement.
