Abstract:Diplomsko delo obravnava uporabo modeliranja s taljenim nanosom materiala (ang. V eksperimentalnem delu smo zasnovali tridimenzionalni model (ang. three-dimensional model; v nadaljevanju: 3D-model) embalažne rešitve in izdelali štiri različice za primerjalno analizo.

Title:Development and evaluation of a returnable packaging solution for a bottle transportation based on FDM technology
Abstract:The thesis discusses the use of FDM technology in the development of packaging for the transport of six 0,5-litre plastic bottles as a possible alternative to conventional reusable crates. The purpose of the research was to assess the feasibility of this technology for producing such a packaging solution and to evaluate its functionality under logistical loads. In the experimental part, a 3D-model of the packaging solution was designed, and four versions were produced for comparative analysis. Three versions were made from PLA material with wall thicknesses of 1 mm, 2 mm and 3 mm, while an additional PETG version with a wall thickness of 2 mm was printed to compare the influence of material. The produced samples were tested using simplified simulations of logistical loads, and an economic analysis was also carried out to assess the feasibility of using FDM technology for packaging production. The results showed that the analysed solution is not suitable for wider practical use. The findings contribute to a better understanding of the potential and limitations of using FDM technology in the development of packaging for beverage transport.
