Abstract:Magistrsko delo obravnava vpliv načrtovanega 8-tedenskega programa naravnih oblik gibanja na razvoj gibljivosti, koordinacije, agilnosti, ravnotežja in motivacije za šport pri učencih 2. razreda osnovne šole. Namen raziskave je bil ugotoviti učinke programa ter primerjati rezultate eksperimentalne in kontrolne skupine. Raziskava je temeljila na kvantitativnem empiričnem pristopu in kvazieksperimentalnem raziskovalnem načrtu s predtestom in potestom.

Title:Natural motor skills as a means of developing flexibility, coordination, agility, balance, and motivation for physical activity in second-grade primary school pupils
Abstract:The master's thesis examines the effects of a planned 8-week program of natural forms of movement (fundamental movement forms) on the development of flexibility, coordination, agility, balance, and motivation for sport among second-grade primary school pupils. The aim of the study was to determine the effects of the program and to compare the results of the experimental and control groups. The study was based on a quantitative empirical approach and a quasi-experimental research approach with pre-testing and post-testing. A total of 41 second-grade pupils from IV. Primary School Celje participated in the study, including 18 pupils in the control group and 23 pupils in the experimental group. Over a period of eight weeks, the experimental group participated in a specially designed program of natural forms of movement, while the control group followed the regular physical education curriculum. Standardized motor tests were used to assess flexibility, coordination, agility, and balance, while a questionnaire was used to assess motivation for sport. Statistically significant differences between the experimental and control groups were found in the back scratch test with the dominant arm and in the backward obstacle course test, whereas no statistically significant differences were found for the other variables examined. The results indicate that natural forms of movement may contribute to the development of specific motor abilities; however, a longer program, more frequent implementation, and more specifically targeted exercise content would likely be required to achieve more pronounced effects. The findings provide a useful professional basis for primary school teachers and physical education professionals when planning developmentally appropriate, systematic, and scientifically grounded programs aimed at promoting children’s motor development during the early school years.
