Abstract:V diplomski nalogi smo realizirali elektronsko kompenziran kompas.

Title:ACQUISITION AND PROCESSING OF ELECTRONIC COMPASS SIGNALS
Abstract:In this diploma work the tilt compensated electronic compass was implemented. First, all important terms for the compass implementation were explained. Then sensors for magnetic field measurement and MEMS accelerometers were reviewed. Further, the principle of electronic compensated compass and the method of measured earth magnetic field components and position angle transformation into horizontal components were given. The magnetic sensor signal components were acquired by A/D-converter, integrated on microcontroller. The problem was noise that is contained in acquired signal and offset voltage, which is 10-times greater then useful signal. Used intern A/D-converter resolution was improved from 12 to effective 14 numbers of bits with over-sampling and decimation method. Such obtained signals were additionally filtered by second order low pass Butterworth filter. To verify our method, the obtained results were compared with results obtained by extern 16-bit A/D-converter and additional by precision digital instrument.
