V modelu inovacijske naravnanosti podjetja, ki so ga razvili Siguaw, Simpson in Enz (2006) inovacijski proces usmerjajo filozofija učenja, strateška usmerjenost in transfunkcionalna usmerjenost.

Title:MEASUREMENT OF INNOVATION ORIENTATION OF COMPANIES
Abstract:For a while, innovation orientation has been the most important feature of a modern company, on which company culture and climate have a strong influence. In the model for the innovation orientation of a company which was developed by Siguaw, Simpson in Enz (2006), the innovation process is guided by learning philosophy, strategic orientation and transfunctional orientation. Results of the innovation process which depend on organizational competences have an influence on the success of a company. Organizational competences include: allocation of resources, technological competences, employees, marketing competences and implementation competences. The measured results of the innovation process are based on the form, type and speed of innovation. A company’s success is measured based on its market, business and financial success. The research instrument for measuring the innovation orientation of companies contains 139 items in the form of statements. The research instrument will assist businesses in assessing their innovation orientation and identifying potential advantages and disadvantages; researchers will be able to use it for collecting the necessary data when examining the innovation orientation of companies. In drawing up the survey instrument we used the model for the innovation orientation of a company, shown on page 41 (Figure 10) as well as research instruments developed by other authors to measure the same or similar constructs.
Keywords:innovation, innovation orientation, learning philosophy, strategic direction, transfunctional acclimation
