V raziskavi sta uporabljeni deskriptivna in kavzalno-neeksperimentalna metoda.

Title:Familiarity with the concept of slovenian school camps, and the contribution of the teacher implementation and organisation ofschool camps
Abstract:The purpose of research was to discover whether teachers are familiar with the concept of school camps for primary schools with a nine year-program, to discover teacher's opinion on their own contribution to planning quality school camps, teacher’s motivation in participating and their general opinion on importance of school camps for child integrated development. 101 teachers from primary and secondary schools have taken a part in the research. They are from Carinthia and central Slovenia and have school camps experience. The research data has been acquired with a survey and analyzed with the SPSS Statistic 22 software. The research uses descriptive causal-non-experimental method. Results have shown that the participating teacher’s average age is between 44 and 46 years, that 69,6% of primary school teachers are not qualified to teach PE and 57,8% of all teachers are qualified for teaching PE. Teachers are well familiar with the concept of school camps for primary schools with a nine year-program, including principles and educational goals. Teachers decide for school camps because they feel they are responsible, self-initiative and organizationally capable. Teachers are aware that with a proper approach, teacher pupil relationship, passing of knowledge, while being outdoor, they significantly help with child’s integral development. Results show that both primary and secondary school teachers feel competent in teaching PE, natural science, skiing, swimming, however there are minor statistical differences between the two groups.
