Abstract:Namen zaključnega dela z naslovom Druženje generacij ob branju je bil povezati različne generacije ob branju kakovostne mladinske literature.

Title:Generations socialisting while reading
Abstract:The purpose of the diploma thesis entitled “Generations socialising while reading” was to bind different generations while reading quality youth literature. Our goal was to bind the elderly (retirement home residents) and children (3-6 years old) at reading events so they can share their experiences and know-how, get to know themselves, build their personal development as well as respect for others. The diploma thesis consists of two parts, a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, we briefly summarized the theory of picture books and literary types we read during reading events within the practical part, and connected them to concrete examples. In the practical part we used and analysed the following picture books: “Kako je Evropa dobila ime” by Klemenčič Liljana, “Trnuljčica” by Jacob Grimm and Wilhelm Grimm, “Rdeča kapica” by Jacob Grimm and Wilhelm Grimm, “Moj dežnik je lahko balon” by Ela Peroci, “Muca copatarica” by Ela Peroci, “Čarobni mlinček ali zakaj je morska voda slana” by Saša Pergar and “Rdeč balon” by Norma Bale. Each analysis also includes a photograph and a description of the reading event in the library of the Gornja Radgona Retirement Home. We received the answers to the research questions by evaluating the reading events carried out.
