Abstract:Za predšolske otroke so zelo pomembne izkušnje, saj so osnova za njihovo učenje. V prvem delu raziskave smo od rednih in izrednih študentov predšolske vzgoje s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika pridobili podatke o uporabi naravoslovnih kotičkov v vrtcu. Pet zaporednih dni v tednu smo jim ponudili naravoslovni kotiček gozd in opazovali njihovo manipuliranje z materialom in raziskovanje.

Title:The role of the kindergarten natural science corner for infants and toddlers (1-2 years)
Abstract:Experiences are very important for preschool children as they are the basis for their learning. It is important for the youngest children to have contact with nature and the opportunity to explore it. As part of the diploma thesis, we conducted a research on natural science corners with natural materials in kindergarten for the youngest children. In the first part of the research, we obtained data on the use of science corners in kindergarten from full-time and part-time preschool students, with the help of a questionnaire. We focused on their observations as part of practical training or work in kindergarten, and then we conducted another part of the research in kindergarten. The second part of the study involved 10 children aged 1-2 years. Five consecutive days a week, we offered them a natural forest corner and observed their material manipulation and exploration. Based on the research, we found that the science corner is a very good method for working in kindergarten and is also suitable for the youngest children. Over time, the children developed play and their active exploration and participation in the corner grew longer day by day. They have gained a lot of new experience, which will be an excellent basis for science in school, as well as for further life.
