Abstract:Uvod: Dojenje je najbolj naraven in kakovosten način hranjenja dojenčka. Za iskanje znanstvene literature smo uporabili naslednje tuje podatkovne baze: PubMed, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), Cochrane Library in ScienceDirect. S pomočjo PRISMA diagrama smo predstavili potek iskanja literature.

Title:Preparing pregnant women for breastfeeding
Abstract:Introduction: Breastfeeding is the most natural and high-quality way to feed your baby. It is the easiest way to provide your baby with all the nutrients it needs to grow and develop. Preparing pregnant women for breastfeeding is extremely important for the successful breastfeeding after childbirth. The aim of this thesis is to review the literature to investigate how educational interventions can be used to prepare pregnant women for breastfeeding. Methods: In the final part of the thesis, we used the descriptive or descriptive method of work. PubMed, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), Cochrane Library and ScienceDirect were used to search the scientific literature. The PRISMA diagram was used to present the literature search process. We included all articles that met our constraints. We displayed them using an evaluation table and synthesised all included studies. Results: In the final analysis, we included 9 studies that found that educational interventions during pregnancy have an impact on breastfeeding success and duration. Of these, we included 3 studies in the final analysis, which included a literature review and 6 individual studies. All of the included studies showed a positive effect of antenatal education on the initiation and duration of breastfeeding. Discussion and conclusion: Educational interventions combined with antenatal and postnatal support help the pregnant woman to initiate breastfeeding and have a positive impact on the duration of exclusive breastfeeding. During pregnancy, health professionals play an important role in the School for Parents programmes.
