Abstract:Motnja pozornosti in hiperaktivnosti (ADHD) je kronična nevrobiološka motnja, ki vpliva na regulacijo dejavnosti, nadzor impulzivnega vedenja in ohranjanje pozornosti.

Title:Teachers' views on introducing motor activity into lessons for pupils with hyperkinetic disorder
Abstract:Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a chronic neurobiological disorder that affects the regulation of activity, control of impulsive behavior, and maintenance of attention. For children with hyperkinetic disorder, movement holds special significance as it allows for the release of inner tension and improves their focus and efficiency. Physical and sports activities are crucial for the overall development of a child, impacting self-image, socio-emotional balance, and cognitive abilities. Physical and sports activities thus contribute to a balanced and harmonious life for children, which is essential for their mental and physical well-being. In the master's thesis, we explored teachers' views on the introduction of physical/sports activities into lessons for students with hyperkinetic disorder. We conducted a survey involving eighty-two randomly selected teachers from Slovenian elementary schools. It was found that teachers are insufficiently informed about the disorder or do not consider their knowledge of the disorder to be adequate. Teachers mostly use various adaptations for students with hyperkinetic disorder, and they already incorporate various forms of physical activities into their lessons. They believe that these activities are beneficial for the overall development of children.
Keywords:hyperkinetic disorder, difficulties with attention, restlessness and impulsivity, physical activities
