Abstract:V diplomski nalogi obravnavamo vpliv generacijskih razlik in spola na stile vodenja, s poudarkom na generacijah X, Y in Z. V teoretičnem delu smo analizirali značilnosti posameznih generacij ter njihove preference predvsem glede avtokratskega, demokratičnega in participativnega vodenja.

Title:The influence of gender on leadership style: a comparison of generations x, y and z
Abstract:In the thesis, we discuss the impact of generational differences and gender on leadership styles, with an emphasis on generations X, Y and Z. In the theoretical part, we analyzed the characteristics of individual generations and their preferences, especially regarding autocratic, democratic and participative leadership. The research focused on the differences between men and women within these generations and their impact on leadership style. In the empirical part, we found that leaders most often use democratic and participative leadership stlyles, while the autocratic approach is losing importance, especially among younger generations. Generation Z shows the strongest preference for participative leadership, generations X remains partially associated with more formal styles. Certain gender differences were also found, and female leaders were more often assessed as more flexible and favoring collaborative approaches. The analysis showed that modern leadership is based on inclusion, open communication and the use of digital tools. Such approaches have been shown to have a positive impact on teamwork and motivation. The findings contribute to a better understanding of the impact of generational and gender differences on leadership and highlight the importance of adaptive leadership styles in a rapidly changing business environment.
