Abstract:Da bi organizacija uspešno delovala, mora vodstvo vplivati na vedenje posameznikov in skupin, jim pomagati pri doseganju ciljev in spodbujati pozitivno delovno okolje. V sodobnih teorijah vodenja so mehke veščine, kot so empatija, fleksibilnost, učinkovito sporazumevanje in sposobnost dela z različnimi ekipami, zelo cenjene. Prav tako se od vodij pričakuje, da bodo delovali drugače, zlasti zaradi generacijskih razlik, tehnološkega napredka in družbenih vrednot. V okviru empirične analize smo preučili vodstvene kadre generacije X in Z s primerjavo njihovih stilov vodenja, odnosa do sprememb, uporabe digitalnih orodij in organizacijske podpore.
Keywords:Vodenje, stili vodenja, medgeneracijske razlike, generacija X in Z, vrednote.

Title:Female leadership - a comparison between generation x and z
Abstract:To ensure successful organizational performance, leadership must influence the behavior of individuals and teams, assist them in achieving their goals, and foster a positive work environment. In modern leadership theories, soft skills such as empathy, adaptability, effective communication, and the ability to work with diverse teams are highly valued. Leaders are also expected to adapt their approaches, particularly due to generational differences, technological advancements, and evolving societal values. As part of the empirical analysis, we examined leadership among members of Generation X and Generation Z by comparing their leadership styles, openness to change, use of digital tools, and perceptions of organizational support. Based on the analysis of 50 survey responses, we found that Generation Z leaders tend to adopt transformational and participative leadership styles, navigate digital environments more confidently, and place greater emphasis on inclusive values. On the other hand, Generation X leaders demonstrate more experience, reliability, and structure in their leadership approach, often emphasizing practicality and responsibility in their work.
Keywords:Leadership, leadership styles, intergenerational differences, Generation X and Z, values.
