Abstract:Diplomsko delo z naslovom Primernost vrtčevskega okolja za gibanje: primerjava med vrtcema in starostnima skupinama otrok vsebuje teoretični del, kjer smo teoretično povzeli telesni in gibalni razvoj, opisali različna okolja za gibanje, didaktična sredstva, primerna za razvoj otrok, vlogo vzgojitelja in starša ter njegove možnosti sodelovanja v vrtcu.

Title:Kindergarten environment suitability for exercise: a comparison between kindergartens and children age groups
Abstract:The thesis Kindergarten Environment Suitability for Exercise: A Comparison between Kindergartens and Children Age Groups consists of a theoretical and an empirical part. In theoretical section, children's physical and motor development, various environments that support movement and physical activity, teaching aids and role of preschool teachers and parents, including their involvement in kindergarten activities, are presented. In the empirical part we compared the quality of the environment and educational practices supporting physical and motor development. The comparison was conducted between an urban and a suburban kindergarten in the first and second age groups. Analysis and evaluation were carried out using the Movement Environment Rating Scale (MOVERS) for children aged 2 to 6. The findings indicate that both kindergartens provide a comparable quality of movement environment and support for children’s physical and motor development. The differences between the first and second age groups were observed at motor vocabulary support, cooperation, and problem-solving; these approaches were more prominent in the first age group. The smallest differences were found in informing parents about motor development in both kindergartens. The results highlight the important role of preschool teachers in creating a stimulating movement environment and in supporting the holistic physical and motor development of children.
